Hi all .

On saturday the "Rear Admiral" (Darren O'Keeffe)held his now

famous !! Optimist beginners sessions. Up to 40 members kids,

all pre optimist or without any sailing experiance,got a great 3 hour

work out in the boats just next to the club in the river.

To say it's a family club was proved by the fact that Darrens entire

family helped and did the training (Ryan,Killian and Connor were all on the

water and his wife Louise took to welcoming all the parents in a meet and greet.

Louise was able to answer all 10 thousand questions put her way.

April league from the RCYC and the second days racing

About 10 boats came out for the white sail class and

40 opis hit the water for a bright sunny day in

Crosshaven.

The ruby season is winding down and the sailing season

is trying to get going. But the weather is'nt helping !!.

Uploaded are some shots from Crosshavens junior rugby

and the start of Optimist sailing in the RCYC.

The IODAI 2nd leg comes up in 3 weeks and the Kinsale

league may even get 1 race in before its over !!!!
